Three-dimensional workstation developer Vital Images has joined the Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX), the Minneapolis company announced last week. The move will allow Vital Images to expand into the e-commerce marketplace and find new customers for its Vitrea 3-D workstation, according to president and CEO Albert Emola.
Global Healthcare Exchange is being developed by a consortium of healthcare companies with the goal of reducing procurement costs with Web technology. Over 50 healthcare suppliers and 50 hospitals have joined GHX to date.
