Hush Communications, a Dublin-based encryption key management service, recently debuted HushMail Private Label for the medical industry. The product is designed to provide healthcare professionals with electronic security to their networks and communications.
HushMail Private Label complies with the Health Insurance Portability Act of 1996 (HIPPA) security requirements. In accordance with the mandates outlined in HIPPA, the product offers digital signatures as a standard feature.
Using digital signatures, e-mail generators can electronically sign their message so the recipient can authenticate it. The digital signature also prevents it from being altered in transit.
The core encryption technology can be integrated into almost any application, according to Jon Matonis, CEO of Hush Communications.
