Software developer Wireless MD has signed a joint services agreement with Fujitsu-ICL Systems, a provider of Internet-based information technology.
Under the terms of the agreement, Wireless MD's customers will be able to access patient and medical information using Fujitsu's handset and mobile computing technology, Atlanta-based Wireless MD said.
Beginning in the first quarter of the year, Wireless MD will run on Fujitsu's TeamPad 7600 mobile computing device. Wireless MD software combined with Fujitsu technology will provide enhanced wireless data access and retrieval capabilities to physicians, according to Wireless MD.
The Wireless MD Medical Data Retrieval System offers mobile access to patient and drug information including laboratory, pathology and radiology results, patient demographic information, histories and updates, the company said.
