Canadian isotope supplier MDS Nordion is introducing Oncentra Oncology Information Management, an integrated system designed for oncology applications, at the November 4-8 American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in San Francisco.
According to MDS Nordion of Kanata, Ontario, Oncentra covers the entire treatment process, including information management, treatment planning, and treatment delivery. Its modules include an electronic patient folder, enterprise resource scheduler, treatment planning, simulation, and a record-and-verify system.
Oncentra’s standardized archive allows its use with treatment delivery equipment from several vendors, including Varian, Siemens, and Elekta, as well as MDS Nordion’s own teletherapy and HDR equipment.
