Siemens Oncology Care Systems of Concord, CA, introduced a new oncology management workstation at this week's American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in San Francisco.
Called Primus Wizard, the workstation is a stand-alone system that can be used to monitor radiation therapy delivery, even if a customer doesn't have a complete oncology management system. Primus Wizard can also be upgraded to a full oncology management system, the company said.
Siemens demonstrated the use of its Biograph hybrid CT-PET system at the meeting, emphasizing the system's potential application in treatment planning applications. The company also highlighted its work in developing an oncology workstation based on the vendor's Syngo workstation software.
