MedeSys unveils RadioLogic 3.3

Radiology information system provider MedeSys released version 3.3 of its RadioLogic RIS at the 2001 RSNA meeting in Chicago. RadioLogic 3.3 includes the ability to securely log in and sign diagnostic reports using a biometric thumbprint scanner, according to the Montreal-based vendor.

Other enhancements include a multifacility scheduling system, a patient-arrival module for registration and invoicing, and a built-in MP3-based digital dictation module. MedeSys has also included a Web-based transcription system (with foot-pedal control) and an automated e-mail or fax results distribution engine.

RadioLogic 3.3 also includes integration with Dictaphone's PowerScribe speech recognition system. Buttons available on RadioLogic 3.3's diagnostic review window allow for control of dictation and proofreading, according to the firm.
