Philips HCP debuts e-Logistics

Philips Medical Systems' Health Care Products unit has rolled out e-Logistics, an online initiative that automates and streamlines order tracking, manifesting, and driver-logging activities. With e-Logistics, HCP customers will also be able to view shipment details on the Cleveland-based unit's Web site. Launch of the service is scheduled for completion by mid-August.

In other HCP news, the company has signed a one-year extension with Intermountain Health Care covering the nonprofit health system's acute-care facilities and clinics. Under the existing agreement that began in April 2000, HCP has been providing IHC with radiological supplies and services to more than 21 hospitals and 100 clinics, according to the vendor.
