Texas practices pick Medical Manager RIS

Two Texas-based imaging services firms have picked WebMD subsidiary Medical Manager Health Systems of Van Nuys, CA, as their RIS provider.

Foundation Imaging Affiliates, with headquarters in Houston and Oklahoma City, OK, purchased a Medical Manager RIS with scheduling, flow tracking, billing, and collection utilities. FIA will also implement Medical Manager’s RIS-to-PACS HL7 interface for its MedTel RadWorks PACS network.

Houston-based Chopra & Associates purchased a Medical Manager RIS with voice recognition and PACS interfaces. The interfaces are important for the firm, as it hopes to eliminate redundant data entry and improve staff productivity.
