Emdeon posts positive Q3 growth

Emdeon of Elmwood Park, NJ, reported growth in both revenues and net income in the company's third quarter (end-September 30).

Revenue advanced 8% to $323.2 million, compared with $299.6 million in the third quarter of 2004. Net income increased to $14.1 million, up from $8.2 million in the same period a year ago.

The company's WebMD Health segment contributed $45.1 million to third-quarter revenue, a gain of 22% over $37 million in the same quarter a year ago.
