Allscripts inks Memorial Healthcare deal

Healthcare information technology developer Allscripts reported that Memorial Healthcare, a 148-bed hospital in Ossowo, MI, has selected its HealthMatics Office integrated electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management system (PMS).

In other news, the Chicago-based Allscripts also said that it has entered into a strategic alliance with MedAxiom, an association of more than 220 cardiology groups that aggregates and reports on key clinical and financial data to benchmark and improve performance.

Under terms of that agreement, Allscripts will market its TouchWorks and HealthMatics EHR products to MedAxiom's 4,500 physician members.The application will automate clinical and financial operations for the hospital's staff physician group, Memorial Medical Associates, according to Chicago-based Allscripts.
