FCG signs Health Information Xchange of New York

First Consulting Group (FCG) has signed a letter of intent with the Health Information Xchange of New York (HIXNY) to deploy its FirstGateways platform as the foundation for creating a healthcare information technology (HIT) regional healthcare network in the Albany metropolitan area.

HIXNY is anticipated to spend $1.5 million in technology and services on the project is expected to provide the foundation for building electronic health records (EHRs) among providers and patients, according to the Long Beach, CA-based FCG.
