GE Healthcare reported that it is collaborating with Fairview Hospital in Barrington, IL, to deploy its Centricity Perinatal with AirStrip OB.
The technology, developed by Texas-based MP4 Solutions, allows obstetricians to use personal digital assistant (PDA)-type devices or smart phones to remotely access fetal heart tracings, maternal contraction patterns, and other data from labor and delivery units, according to GE of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.
