Absolute Medical Software Systems, a Houston-based healthcare technology provider, will introduce a RIS with enhanced practice management functionality.
The firm said the software's features are designed to streamline the workflow and financial efficiency of hospital radiology departments, imaging centers, surgery centers, and private practices, from patient eligibility and scheduling through claim submissions and insurance and self-pay collections.
The Web-based application provides real-time and batch processes for patient insurance eligibility verification, an enhanced claims editor/clearinghouse tool, and automated self-pay collection processes for managing the revenue cycle. The system includes report generation tools, voice recognition, and customizable workflow definitions and reporting templates, as well as physician-based report routing rules.
Other features include real-time marketing reports and a range of report delivery options to referring physicians such as fax, e-mail, and online report access.
