Image informatics developer EBM Technologies will spotlight its UniGate electronic medical record (EMR) image management system later this month.
The system uses Microsoft Windows-based workstations to print to a virtual UniGate driver, which digitizes and transforms all graphical reports, documents, and images from non-DICOM devices into DICOM format for easy accessibility, the Honolulu-based company said.
The technology is compliant with HL7, Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), and HIPAA, and works in conjunction with numerous hospital informatics systems such as RIS, PACS, HIS, LIS, EMR, and other information systems, according to EBM.
