Radiology informatics firm Guardian Technologies will unveil its integrated RIS/PACS product, FlowPoint 6.2, to RSNA attendees.
The firm said it has extended the functionality and the feature set of FlowPoint RIS by integrating document scanning technology. This functionality will digitally capture paper documents and include them as part of the permanent radiological patient electronic medical record.
The application also features functionality to support cash payments and patient invoicing, support for single-user logon in Microsoft Windows environments, system integrations with industry billing companies, enhanced charge capture support for healthcare common procedure coding system (HCPCS) codes, improved label printing flexibility with Zebra printers, enhanced multilingual functionality and capabilities, and enhancements to its Enterprise Appointment Scheduling module.
Version 6.2 includes a number of PACS upgrades, such as enhanced compression capabilities and integration with the View Pro-X diagnostic viewer and Web Viewer from Rogan Medical Systems of Veenendaal, Netherlands, according to Guardian of Herndon, VA.
