Breast center information systems developer Mammography Reporting System (MRS) will preview its soon-to-be-released Interactive Patient History Collection System.
The vendor's Microsoft SQL Server-based application supports patient input of breast surgical history, risk factors, and hormone use via a tablet PC or PC kiosk. After a patient enters her history, it is then downloaded into MRS and available for viewing and verification.
A technologist verifies or edits the patient history on a digital workstation or PC, and puts the exam into a "wait for findings" list. When the radiologist accesses the patient images from the worklist on a workstation, the patient history in MRS is automatically synchronized and displayed, the Seattle-based company said.
