Wisconsin health system selects MedSeek

Healthcare IT firm MedSeek has won a contract to develop consumer and employee portals for Mercy Health System.

The Janesville, WI-based three-hospital integrated health system includes a network of more than 65 facilities in 24 communities across southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

The portals will allow consumers to enroll in classes online, search for a physician, apply for jobs, and cross-promote service lines. Mercy's 3,800 employees will have access to policies and procedures, an employee directory, a document library, and news.

MedSeek of Solvang, CA, is scheduled to have the portal pilot go live in the first quarter of 2007.
