Radiology publisher Amirsys of Salt Lake City announced it has partnered with speech recognition and document imaging firm Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA.
Amirsys' STATdx point-of-care clinical decision support system for imaging is now integrated with Nuance's Dictaphone PowerScribe for Radiology, a digital dictation and speech recognition package that streamlines the medical transcription process.
Combined with PowerScribe, STATdx improves workflow by reducing the time required to research and complete difficult imaging analyses, according to Amirsys. STATdx offers clinicians details on diagnoses, case examples, imaging anatomy, color graphic illustrations, radiologic images, surgical/pathological photographs, and text, the company said.
