Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA, has signed a strategic alliance with cardiac technology developer Biosense Webster of Diamond Bar, CA, a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary.
The deal will enable the creation of an interface that connects Biosense Webster's Carto mapping and navigation system with Philips' integrated Allura Xper electrophysiology lab system, as well as with Philips' Xcelera cardiovascular information system, according to the firms.
The joint development program will also create easier storage and retrieval of imaging data, allowing physicians to review and report from a single system, Philips said.
