The Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) North America Connectathon 2007, which ended last Friday in Chicago, provided a setting to test the capability of applications to share patient data within and across hospitals and healthcare systems.
The results of the event will be available on the IHE Connectathon Web site, according to Chicago-based IHE. The event included 430 engineers from more than 80 healthcare IT organizations, and tested the interoperability of more than 160 systems and applications.
