GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., and Awarix of Birmingham, AL, will partner to jointly market a technology and service to help healthcare facilities address patient care issues.
The companies will combine Awarix's patient care visibility technology with GE's Enterprise Location Management System (IntelliMotion) and Patient Throughput Process Improvement Consulting Services.
The results will be visual controls and process change management technology designed to help organizations improve patient safety and quality; increase patient, staff, and physician satisfaction; and improve patient flow.
The Medical Center of Central Georgia, a 600-bed Magnet hospital in Macon, GA, implemented the technologies in December 2006.
