HealthInfoNet, Maine's health information exchange (HIE), has selected 3M Health Information Systems Division and its partners, Orion Health and Connectria, to create an integrated health information system for the state.
Under the proposed agreement, 3M Health Information Systems will deliver its 3M Clinical Data Repository, 3M Enterprise Master Person Index, and 3M Healthcare Data Dictionary. Orion Health will provide its Concerto Medical Applications Portal, Rhapsody Integration Engine, and Concerto Forms products. Connectria will supply remote hosting services.
The deal is the result of a three-year planning and development process by HealthInfoNet, and is still undergoing negotiations for a definitive agreement, according to St. Paul, MN-based 3M.
