Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based GE Healthcare is working with cancer care software developer IntrinsiQ of Waltham, MA, to integrate its IntelliDose product with GE's Centricity electronic medical record (EMR) technology.
IntrinsiQ's IntelliDose software is designed to automate the process of chemotherapy order entry and minimize the potential for error by producing legible, complete, and electronically checked orders, the companies said.
Interfacing those capabilities with GE's Centricity EMR provides users with information about patients undergoing chemotherapy, including drug administration records and nurse notes.
