The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) is offering two $50,000 grants to support original hypothesis-driven research in the field of imaging informatics for residents, fellows, graduate students, and junior faculty.
The Leesburg, VA-based organization also introduced three new grant initiatives: a small grant program for imaging informatics training and product support development, an emeritus mentor grant, and a microgrant.
The new SIIM Small Grant Program is for students and imaging informatics professionals and consists of two grant programs. One initiative is for career development and training opportunities to support hands-on training or experience with a designated mentor or sponsor in the imaging informatics arena.
The other program will support the development of a tool or product that would be available to the imaging informatics community. A SIIM small grant provides $20,000 for three to 12 months.
The deadline for all grant applications is August 1.
