GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., will partner with Reston, VA-based telecommunications company Sprint to provide in-building wireless communications services to hospitals in North America.
The new internal cellular communications network will combine Sprint’s Custom Network Solution technology with GE’s Carescape Enterprise Access universal wireless platform to provide a platform for voice and data communications over secure cellular, Wi-Fi and telemetry infrastructures.
