Mount Laurel, NJ-based speech recognition firm MedQuist has signed an agreement for remote medical records coding with VHA Texas, a private supply chain management services cooperative.
MedQuist will supply VHA Texas with coding services and its CodeRunner application service provider technology. CodeRunner provides support for both inpatient and outpatient settings, including ambulatory surgery, emergency department, ancillary, and clinic services.
VHA Texas serves 19 healthcare organizations and their affiliates across that state, and will use MedQuist's services to outsource all or part of their coding, provide prompt turnaround time, and develop customized audits and assessments, according to MedQuist.
