Merge Healthcare

(Booth 1122) Merge Healthcare will highlight several new products in its booth this year at McCormick Place.

Version 4.01 of its Fusion RIS/PACS MX features customizable worklist management and single-source access to all patient information, as well as point-and-click access to workflow tools such as relevant priors and embedded dictation, according to the Milwaukee-based firm.

It also includes business performance monitoring and management capabilities, such as practice analysis tools for mining and reporting on key financial, operational, and clinical data, Merge said. A referring physician portal enables distribution of images and reports to referring physicians.

Merge will also present version 3.30 of its Fusion RIS MX package as a work-in-progress. New features include improved fax service, external reference number tracking workflow, and enhanced coding and billing functionality, according to the firm.

For non-U.S. customers, Merge will showcase its Fusion RIS GL software. Targeted at institutions in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Fusion RIS GL includes components for patient scheduling, front-office activities, resource usage, and billing, Merge said. It's suitable for handling patient management at imaging centers, small to mid-sized hospitals, and other facilities, according to the company.

In developments with the company's eFilm portfolio, Merge will demonstrate eFilm RIS/PACS as a work-in-progress. Designed for single-site imaging businesses with lower imaging volume, eFilm RIS/PACS includes eFilm Workstation, along with a Web server for distributed access to images and reports.
