(Booth 4129) Philips Medical Systems will feature its Xiris radiology information system at RSNA 2007, and will highlight workflow integration of the software with its iSite PACS offering.
Xiris is designed to automate tasks, such as scheduling, organizing, reporting, tracking, dictating, transcribing, and distributing patient information into reports containing exam images. The Web-based application also can manage patient registration, scheduling, exam tracking, staff and resource management, and generation of reports and statistical information.
The technology can be integrated into a new or existing center by way of its own HL7 broker or DICOM worklist manager, and shares information across multiple centers with Multi-center RIS-Backbone available in various formats.
Also on display will be Philips' new Ximis Productivity Resource Management (XPRM) product. The Web-based collection of tools is designed to help imaging department managers handle department resources and activities.
In addition, the MyXiris self-registration module allows patients to enter personal, medical, and insurance information and schedule their own appointments. It also allows patients to view their medical reports from previous visits to clinics.
The RIS products have been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and are currently available.
Philips also will show its Xcelera software, designed to streamline clinical workflow and enhance the efficiency of cardiovascular care. It is designed to reconcile the multimodality, multivendor flow of clinical information at various points of care for diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
It integrates with third-party information systems, including electronic medical records, order management, ECG management, and clinical documentation systems.
Xcelera provides HL7 connectivity and meets IHE profiles, as well as DICOM storage and DSR-TIFF imaging and service standards. It is scalable from small to large multisite enterprises.
