Telemedicine and teleradiology developer Image Information Systems (IIS) plans to debut a new RIS, called iQ-RIS, at the upcoming RSNA meeting in Chicago, the company reported.
In October, IIS acquired German RIS developer Windialog; that company's chief executive, Martin Stulz, joined IIS as a senior developer of a new RIS department.
iQ-RIS is compatible with most PACS networks, the London-based company said. It allows hospitals to manage master data and administer devices, procedures, and services. Clinicians will be able to dictate reports, use voice recognition, or use a report assistant feature.
