Healthcare informatics developer Medsphere Systems of Aliso Viejo, CA, has deployed its OpenVista electronic health record (EHR) system at Welch Community Hospital and Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital in West Virginia.
The facilities are among seven state-operated hospitals that will receive OpenVista under a contract to connect acute, long-term, behavioral, and clinic environments with a single database for access to patient data.
Under the contract with West Virginia's Department of Health and Human Resources, the EHR technology also will be installed at Hopemont Hospital in Hopemont, Lakin Hospital in Lakin, John Manchin Sr. Health Care Center in Fairmont, and Pinecrest Hospital in Beckley in 2008.
