eHealth offers image exchange service

Medical record services provider eHealth Global Technologies has released its Image Exchange service for regional health information organizations (RHIOs) and community health networks.

The new service allows healthcare facilities to share medical images without a large capital investment or technical implementation complexity, according to the Rochester, NY-based firm.

Users can access images via the firm's eHealthViewer for diagnostic-quality viewing, eHealth said. They can also perform 3D viewing and multiplanar reformatting from any Windows PC or Windows Mobile smart phone, according to the vendor.
