Healthcare informatics firm Eclipsys of Atlanta has won the recommendation of a Dallas-based independent practice association (IPA) for its electronic medical record (EMR) package, the company said.
Genesis Physicians Group has signed an agreement endorsing Eclipsys' PeakPractice EMR system for its more than 1,450 members. Under terms of the deal, IPA physicians in Dallas-Fort Worth who buy the software will receive a discount.
PeakPractice is an Internet-based ambulatory EMR/practice management solution that includes e-prescribing, patient portals, patient kiosks, image management, and a Web portal for physicians and patients, as well as supply chain and inventory management, Eclipsys said.
