Philips adds control to SpeechMike

Philips Speech Processing of Vienna, Austria, is adding a feature to its SpeechMike dictation microphone that supports the Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition program from Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA.

The software allows SpeechMike to be used intuitively with Dragon NaturallySpeaking. The microphone's function buttons also have been programmed with the most frequent speech recognition commands for users to start a recording, move the cursor, or correct passages with the buttons.
