Healthcare software developer iMedica of Carrollton, TX, has launched its new Transition electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) system.
iMedica developed Transition to provide physicians with an alternative to a full-fledged EHR/PM system by offering a standard set of features capable of e-prescribing, document management, and other services without full-note documentation, which has been a traditional barrier to EHR acceptance.
iMedica also has named Martin Cody as regional vice president of sales covering the central U.S. Cody came from Chicago-based Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, where he served as regional sales manager for the company's Chicago territory.
In the regional Northeast and Southeast sales forces, Paul Grant and Bret Bandi have been promoted to regional vice presidents, respectively.
