Eclipsys taps new CEO

Healthcare informatics firm Eclipsys of Atlanta has appointed Philip Pead as president and CEO.

He succeeds Andrew Eckert, who has served as CEO since 2005. Eckert has decided to leave the company following a transitional period during which he will work closely with Pead.

Pead served as chairman, president, and CEO of Per-Se Technologies until the company was acquired by McKesson in 2007. He also served as the senior vice president of international operations for Dun & Bradstreet Software Services, and as vice president of Asian and Latin American operations of Attachmate, a provider of host connectivity products.
