Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare has released version 4.0 of its MergeCOM-3 toolkit.
The new release incorporates support for the latest updates to the DICOM standard, as well as new interfacing capabilities utilizing the HL7 standard, according to the Milwaukee-based firm. Version 4.0 includes support for new DICOM supplements such as high-definition video (Supplement 137), mammography (Supplement 125), and color MRI (Supplement 141).
In addition, the HL7 toolkit includes the HL7 v2.5.1 library, along with mapping capabilities, sample applications, and documentation, Merge said.
