GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., is teaming with Medicalis of Kitchener, Ontario, to integrate Medicalis' CDS-DI technology with GE's Centricity IT and electronic medical record (EMR) products.
The combination of Medicalis' Clinical Decision Support for Diagnostic Imaging (CDS-DI) technology and GE's IT and EMR systems will target the point of order in physician offices and the point of service at radiology providers.
Medicalis' decision-support module is designed to prevent unnecessary imaging studies and is based on clinical guidelines from the American College of Radiology, American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, and American Society of Spine Radiology.
