Speech recognition firm Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA, has received an order for its Dragon Medical dictation product from University of California, San Diego (UCSD) Medical Center.
UCSD Medical Center will expand its use of the technology at multiple facilities for physicians to document electronic health records via real-time speech recognition.
UCSD Medical Center has been utilizing Dragon Medical for three years. Approximately 170 physicians currently use Nuance's speech recognition technology.
