Merge launches image-enabled Web portal EHR

Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare of Milwaukee has launched a new software platform that allows secure Web access for real-time exchange of patient information, procedure reports, and digital images.

FusionWeb provides radiologists, referring physicians, and nurses access to image-enabled electronic health records (EHR) regardless of browser type, operating platform, or security policies, Merge said. Users with assigned log-ins can interact with worklists and images. FusionWeb is based on the company's Cedara WebAccess technology and can be bundled with Fusion RIS and PACS, according to Merge.
