MedQuist inks PA contract

Speech recognition and transcription technology provider MedQuist of Mount Laurel, NJ, was awarded a contract for recovery audit contractor (RAC) consulting services and software by Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, PA.

The program is designed to reduce improper Medicare payments by reviewing the billing claims of hospitals and other healthcare organizations.

MedQuist will supply Doylestown Hospital with a RAC coordinator and the tools to help the facility prepare for, navigate, and manage the RAC audit process. MedQuist will also assist in assessing the hospital's risk related to the RAC program, when needed.
