Elekta wins California contract

Swedish oncology firm Elekta of Stockholm has announced the installation of a full suite of its oncology products at a California facility.

The system will be installed at the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center, scheduled to open in February 2010 at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in the San Fernando Valley.

The installation includes Elekta's Axesse system for stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiation therapy, plus two Elekta Infinity systems for volumetric-modulated arc therapy. The installation also includes the company's Mosaiq oncology information system.
