Healthcare informatics firm Eclipsys has posted third-quarter (end-September 30) results that show the Atlanta firm's revenues and net income falling.
For the period, Eclipsys had sales of $125.5 million, down 5% compared to revenues of $132.4 million for the same quarter last year. Net income for the most recent quarter was $3.9 million, compared to net income of $87.4 million for the third quarter of 2008.
The year-ago numbers included a one-time income tax benefit of $80 million that was associated with the reversal of the company's deferred tax valuation allowance.
