Healthcare software developer Allocade said that the radiology department at University of California, San Diego Medical Center will be implementing its On-Cue workflow software.
The UC San Diego radiology department is participating in a study to evaluate process improvement, resource utilization, communication, and patient experience, according to Allocade of Menlo Park, CA. Research will initially focus on process improvement within CT, the emergency department, surgical intensive care unit, and trauma units.
The researchers will test OnCue to ensure patient logistics can be tracked and managed throughout the hospital enterprise in real-time, Allocade said. Research results are expected to be presented at the 2010 RSNA meeting.
