Speech recognition and transcription technology provider MedQuist unveiled two SpeechQ product enhancements at the RSNA annual meeting in Chicago.
SpeechQ VTB (Voice to Billing) for Radiology is designed to integrate speech recognition, automated coding technology, and Web-based billing services into one unified workflow. The resulting streamlined process from voice to billing is intended to render cost savings for these activities, according to the Mount Laurel, NJ-based firm.
The second initiative involves an agreement with speech recognition and software developer Nuance Communications, in which MedQuist will license the SpeechMagic engine and processing software for use in SpeechQ to be deployed in general medical settings.
