Nuance posts improved Q1 2010 results

Speech recognition and software developer Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA, posted results for its first quarter of fiscal 2010 (end-December 31).

Nuance reported revenue of $263 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2010, a 21.3% increase over revenue of $216.8 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2009.

In the first quarter of fiscal 2010, Nuance posted a net loss of $4.3 million, compared with a net loss of $26.3 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2009.
