GE debuts Centricity Advance

GE Healthcare has unveiled Centricity Advance, the newest addition to the Centricity IT platform.

Centricity Advance is a software as a service (SaaS) product for small, independent clinical practices, offering a combination of electronic medical record (EMR), practice management, and patient portal technologies.

Centricity Advance is designed, in part, to help healthcare providers prepare for "meaningful use" of their EMR and take advantage of financial incentives available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 while enhancing overall practice management, according to the Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based vendor.
