Nuance lands RadPort license

Speech recognition and software developer Nuance Communications has received an order for its RadPort imaging decision-support software.

Nonprofit organization Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI) has licensed RadPort to support a statewide initiative to help ensure Minnesotans receive only medically appropriate imaging tests, according to Nuance of Burlington, MA. ICSI members include 60 medical groups and six sponsoring health plans throughout Minnesota and surrounding states.

ICSI will also be using Nuance's RadCube software to analyze physician-ordering trends in parallel with actual clinical outcomes.
