McKesson's EHR gets ONC certification

McKesson Provider Technologies of Alpharetta, GA, reported that its Horizon Clinicals software has been certified as a complete electronic health record (EHR) by the Drummond Group, one of three authorized testing and certification bodies (ONC-ATCB).

The certification of Horizon Clinicals was in accordance with the applicable eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The 2011/2012 criteria support the stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
