Speech recognition and software developer Nuance Communications has acquired Webmedx, a transcription services provider.
Webmedx offers transcription and editing services and clinical documentation technology for hospitals and clinics across the U.S., and the acquisition will strengthen Nuance's transcription services, according to Nuance. Webmedx features natural language processing quality analytics, which will add to Nuance's clinical language understanding tools, the company said.
