Philips Healthcare has introduced version R3.2 of its Xcelera cardiology image and information management system.
New features include optional advanced quantification applications for analytical assessment of ultrasound, cardiovascular x-ray, and nuclear medicine studies, as well as clinical review of CT, MR, and electrophysiology exams, according to the vendor. Philips has also added an optional interface to enable viewing of electrocardiograms from select systems via the Xcelera workspace, and incorporated optional pediatric decision support and clinical reporting tools.
A Tele-Cardiology feature allows images and reports to be accessed remotely via a secure connection, according to the firm. Other new features include support for enterprise master patient index (eMPI), customizable security features, a DICOM measurement mapping tool, and support for Philips' new QLAB 8.1 quantification software.
Thanks to Philips' collaboration with TomTec Imaging Systems, Xcelera customers can also choose to employ TomTec's ImageArena suite of advanced quantification plug-ins, Philips said.
